A 5-week course, exploring classic literature from Hamlet to Huckleberry Finn and the contemporary novels they have inspired.
Each week we will compare a pair of texts, one new and one old, understanding the continuing relevance of great works of art and where they fit with today's readers. You don't need to have read all the books before the course. The class will be a window into studying these books.
The texts so far include: Demon Copperhead - David Copperfield, Hello Beautiful - Little Women, Wide Sargasso Sea - Jane Eyre, The Nutshell - Hamlet, one more tbc!
