In the last few years Frome has started to appear in many television and film productions, from the most recent version of Poldark to Jane Austen adaptations. But far from being 'discovered' as a fantastic location, it is a case of 'rediscovery,' as these are only the latest in a line of programmes stretching back to the 1970s.
